SimpleGlow Privacy PolicyLast updated October 29, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes the information practices of the SimpleGlow application (the "App"), which is provided by Haybel Enterprises LLC, a California limited liability company (the "Company"). For the purposes of this Policy, "you" refers to the individual user of the App. The App maintains no account system, operates no servers, and employs no analytics. The App makes no connections to the internet. Information known to the App remains on your iPhone and on your Trimlight controller.

2. Controller Communications

The App communicates with your Trimlight Edge controller over your home Wi-Fi network and with no other destination. In order to locate the controller, the App attempts to reach each address on your Wi-Fi network on the controller's port; the App retains nothing concerning the other devices encountered in the course of this process. Your lighting effects, your schedule, and the location used for sunrise and sunset times are saved on the controller itself, where they are visible to any phone on your Wi-Fi network running the App or the Trimlight app. The App retains a copy of such information on your phone so that the App opens quickly.

3. Location Information

Sunrise and sunset rules function most accurately when the App possesses an approximate indication of where your residence is located; in the absence of such indication, the App assumes default times of 6:00 PM and 6:30 AM. If you grant permission, the App reads your approximate location, to approximately one kilometer, and saves those coordinates on the controller and in the App's copy on your phone. The iOS operating system additionally treats the name of the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected as location data, and accordingly the same permission permits the App to populate your network name when you set up a new controller. The App does not read your location in the background and does not transmit it to any destination.

4. Controller Setup

When you set up a new controller, you enter the name and password of your home Wi-Fi network. The App transmits these credentials to the controller over the controller's own temporary setup network, as this is the mechanism by which the controller joins your Wi-Fi network, and the password is thereafter forgotten by the App. The App retains the network name so that you are not required to enter it again. The controller's setup network is not encrypted; the App advises you of this fact before any information is transmitted.

5. Diagnostic Log

The App writes a diagnostic log of its communications with the controller, recording what was written, when, and any errors, to a file within the App's own storage on your phone, in order that a problem may be investigated after the fact. The log does not leave your phone unless you copy it yourself, and it is deleted upon deletion of the App.

6. Information the Company Does Not Collect

The Company does not collect, store, or sell any information about you. The App contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party code. If you installed the App through TestFlight or the App Store and have elected in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide the Company with crash reports and usage statistics subject to Apple's own privacy policy; no information received through this channel identifies you.

7. Children

The App is not directed at children, and it collects no information from any person.

8. Changes to This Policy

In the event that this Policy is changed, the revised version will be posted at this address together with the date on which it took effect.
